Trilenium®
Lens Technology
The story of Eagle Eyes® began with the discovery of the secret to the eagle’s incredible vision, which led to a team of NASA scientists and their commitment to independently sharing their discovery with the world. Their goal was to create a radical new type of optical lens that not only heightened and sharpened peoples’ vision, but reduced glare and protected their eyes from harmful solar radiation. The result was TriLenium® blue light-blocking, polarized lenses featured in every pair of Eagle Eyes sunglasses.
OF TRILENIUM® LENS TECHNOLOGY:
The level of technology that goes into making an Eagle Eyes TriLenium® lens is remarkable. In just 1-2 mm, we build in layers of UV and blue light protection, visual enhancement, and glare reduction. Developed from original NASA technology, our proprietary three-stage polarization protection includes several layers of functionally protective films and coatings that resist scratches and unnecessary reflections, some even having special coatings that repel moisture and smudges.* All of this to give you unmatched protection and visual clarity for every moment of your life.
*The layers shown above are representative of the majority of TriLenium® glasses. There are a few exceptions. Please see the individual product descriptions for final lens features
The exclusive technology in Eagle Eyes' TriLenium® lenses are designed and built for outdoor conditions, to allow in the optimal percentage of visible light transmission while protecting against 99.9% of UVA/UVB and blue-light radiation. Plus, the glare-reducing benefits of our polarized lenses, paired with the custom tints of our original NASA optic technology, increases and improves your overall clarity, contrast, and colors. Truly, we have found no other lenses that surpass Eagle Eyes’ TriLenium® lenses.
VLT of 1% means very dark glasses and a VLT of 100% means all the light is getting through and the lens is therefore a ‘clear lens’. The percentages shown above are approximate based on our lab test results in a controlled environment. They are subject to change based on different variables.
